Tebogo Phakedi was born in the Garden Route town of George in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. He is a retired teacher and a self-taught artist. In his early years, he worked as a teacher at a local school for underprivileged children in the area. He has been painting since early childhood and his work has been exhibited in various art galleries throughout South Africa
